Career: Summer Camp Director
Overview
At Casper Gymnastics Center, we believe in providing enriching experiences for children through our Summer Camp program. The Summer Camp Director plays a pivotal role in creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for campers aged 6 and up. This position is key in shaping memorable summer experiences focused on creativity, physical activity, and character-building.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development: Develop and oversee engaging summer camp programs aligned with CGC’s mission. Create fun and dynamic activities, crafts, and themed weeks for campers aged 6 and up.
Staff Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to summer camp staff for high-quality programs. Coordinate schedules and assignments for camp counselors and workers.
Engagement & Safety: Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, ensuring open communication. Ensure all camp activities adhere to safety protocols and legal standards.
Performance Evaluation: Monitor program effectiveness, camper engagement, and staff performance. Implement improvements based on feedback and evaluation results.
Events & Budget: Organize special events, showcases, and field trips to enrich the camp experience. Assist in budget planning, resource allocation, and revenue generation.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead a team of summer camp staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with parents, campers, and the community.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, child development principles, and best practices in summer camp programming.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Passion for creating a positive impact on children’s lives, fostering personal growth, and building a sense of community.
